The comment was said during a situation where the Surfer was trying to take off a electronic slave collar but ended up shocking him for his attempt. Continuing to be shocked and trying to fight the pain, the Surfer was remembering what he was thought by the Master of Zenn-La to help him cope. When he realized that the collar was feeding off his own energy he was using to resist the shock, The Surfer instead stopped resisting and used his power to absorb the electronic collar into his body and became free. ***(Zenn-La is Silver Surfer's home planet that has a peaceful civilization, with Buddhist-like environment.)

I really thought the comment was very deep and inspiring. Very impressed with the writing of that show. A lot of philosophy is talked about on that cartoon. However it's run didn't last long when it was on Fox. (Only had 9 episodes.) But good thing Peekvid has all of them!

Before I watched the show, I didn't know that much about the Silver Surfer's origin except the Fantastic Four's first encounter with the once called "Herald of Galactus". (oops SPOILER ALERT!!!!! to those who are gonna watch Fantastic 4 movie sequel LOL.) I became interested right after I was alerted on the results of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance website's "March Madness-like" Superhero/Supervillain tourney bracket to see "Who is the best in the Marvel Universe?"

The Silver Surfer was its CHAMPION. Then I went to look and I found the eps on Peekvid. (YAY! ....HI-FAIVE!)

Anyways, Silver Surfer's story is one of courage, sacrifice, tragedy, and adventure and all so in the name of love. (Man... I'm looking for my own "Shalla-Bal" too Surfer! LOL.)



Move over Wolverine you are no longer the "man". Silver Surfer is the real deal and is indeed my hero! (Oh gawd! The idea to build a new Silver Surfer deck for VS. is starting to form in my head. Uh-oh... Too late it has! HAH!)

"Quad Damage" VS. The "House"

Last Saturday was jokes. While I was watching the Madness on TV I get a call from my cousin Joe. "Yo do you want to go to Niagara?" Out of the blue he decides on St. Patty's day to gamble @ Fallsview Casino. How could I refuse an offer like that? I'm a gambling man myself and winning 45 bucks the last time I was there made me think, "I could do it again!". I called up Phi and quickly said he was down. Joe picked up Drix and Phi and I met them at Joe's place. THE UFS crew, The Triangle Offense + Phi = Quad Damage who usually meets to duel or party went on a quest to beat "the house".

So I get out of the van to protect the parking spot we had to look all the way for on the 9th floor/Section C and good thing I did because someone was trying to steal it. (LOL! SUCKERS!) Remembered 9C and straight to the SIC-BO TABLE!

We arrived at the SIC-BO table and a rare occurence started to happen. Triple 3 were just appearing on the table. You can say it was like hitting 4 double zeros in 12 spins in roulette. Very, very rare and especially including hitting a triple 6. So in around 12 rolls 5 times the table had those triples. This made Drix think he should bet on triples too.

Not even more than an hour, The "House" won. We licked our wounds at the $10 buffet and had more laughs. Kept on asking each other after eating our 2nd and 3rd plates, "Which concert would you go to if you were forced to?" (The following conversation is not totally accurate but pretty close to the jist of it. LOL.)

DRIX: Which concert would you go to? Boy George or George Michael?
ME: Wow, that's a tough one.
JOE: Yeah, I don't know many Boy George songs
ME: Well, Culture Club....
JOE: I would have to pick George Michael
DRIX: WHAT?!? Oh, come on! I pick Boy George
ME: Yeah, I would pick George Michael too.
DRIX: But Boy George has more fun songs.
ME: But there would be more girls at a George Michael concert!
DRIX: (with disgust in his face) Dude, a George Michael performance will SEDUCE you! You heard that he raped some guy in a public washroom.
(All of us our laughing at Drix's statement)
ME: Well, Boy George will dress up as a girl..
DRIX: You know what I mean right?
ME: (looking at Joe) Hahahah it seems like extra info that was not needed coming from DRIX: He's had some experience with George Michael before! Hahahahaha.
JOE and PHI: (just laughing)
*laughter dies down*
JOE: Okay how bout this, New Kids or Backstreet Boys?
DRIX: New Kids, no contest.
JOE: Nah, I pick Backstreet Boys
(Again all laughing)
ME: Yeah, because more girls will be there!
JOE: Yeah! Hahahah

We left Fallsview little after 2am and kept making fun of Drix's issue with George Michael seducing him on the way home. It was a classic moment Drix! It's unforgetably funny as heck!

P.S. Can't believe you Drix! Picking a Rita McNeil concert over a Celine Dion one. Hahaha right.....

I so like to think that not being on MSN or Facebook is the reason for finding these buried treasures. If I was I would have been distracted and gotten lazy by just listening to those songs on Imeem or their MYspace page. Yeppers! I'm giving more time to those things that matter most.

So what did I do today? Worked out for an hour, read Chapters 15 and 16 for Bus. Admin. class tmrw, laundry, listening to old songs on Imeem, found rare "Girl Talk" mp3s and also built a new Ken deck. The "ALL" Ken* deck that WHOOPED Hugo*** for 54 damage in one turn! (I KID YOU THE FUCK NOT!) So I did a rematch and Ken swung for 50 dmg again in one turn! LMAO. (I swear.... Ken is like attacking on turn 5 with 25 cards! With his ability + Silent Steps + Combo of Blows/Punching Theme = swinging for 50+ dmg becoming an every match occurence! All I have to say to end it off is, "BROKEN!" Bahahahhaahah!!!! *then starts to cough*

Went to All-Star Wings & Ribs last night with the cousins. That place just blew me away. We ordered 100 wings with 4 flavours (1 flavour on 25 wings each) and it was fucking worth it. I want to try more flavours but also get more honey garlic wings *starts to drool*. Goodbye Hooters. Hello All Star! You guys have the best wings I've tasted.

Yeppers, Jay gots some new digs for this blog layout. The old layout was so uninspiring and I hardly wanted to blog anymore. Now I'm seeking a new light, a new inspiration to guide me to my creative process again. I've cut off MSN and Facebook for the rest of lent. Too much Facebook making my brain go like mashed potatoes. I need to do something different to stimulate the noggin and let me know I'm fucking alive!

So here is the updated blog layout. Earlier I added a Tagboard but it totally took up loading time. Plus no one really comments on this blog anyways (HA!) so I'm still tweaking it. (Hahahah can't you tell I'm so bored without Facebook at least LOL.)

Right now I am listening to "Close To Me" by The Cure @ Imeem.com right now and this song totally puts me in a chill mood. Love it when the trumpets kick in too hahaha.
