Fold 'Em? or Hold 'Em?

I won last night in poker easily. "Chip Leader" from the start and never looked back. I was on point, in the zone and to me it still wasn't enough. You can call that being greedy but I don't give a flying fuck because I KNOW I AM A GREAT POKER PLAYER. I hate to lose, I play to win. I wanted to send a message and I think I did that. Enough of this partypoker bullshit. I'm not here for fun. After I won I came downstairs and my mom commented on how I am so serious when I was playing. "Of course I am." I replied to her in a serious tone and walked away.

Thinking about why I said that came instantly. I put a lot of hours studying research and theories on this game and I'm gonna treat it as a fucking joke and lose. Let me think......."NO!" I am very confident, borderline cocky even. I have PASSION for Texas Hold 'Em. People hate Hellmuth but I love that he loves the game. I don't agree with his blowups when he loses but you gotta see he has a great amount of respect for the game when you see him play. It's hard to find a lot of those hardcore passionate players out there at the home games.

I know people probably think I'm an asshole with my style of play and I don't care because I know at the end of the game I played my best. I do what I do to win and don't regret my actions at the table. People let me tell you this about poker, especially hold 'em. if you bitch when you lose and then complain like feel you got cheated when it was a straight up game. THEN GET THE FUCK OUT. Seriously if you can't take the heat then you are wasting your fucking time and wasting others. I'll be blunt because I'm sick and tired of seeing people lose and can't man up after a bad beat. That's LIFE. That's POKER. Don't like that? Play blackjack bitches.

$5 is great because the memories are priceless.

Feeling upbeat about my split pot victory @ the baby shower poker game last Sunday night against Mike and Theresa friends. Lost the first $5 buy-in to Mike's friend Peter who had 4 Q os and I have K 5 os. I re-raised his all-in because I was supsecting he was just trying to get the pot. In which he was but still called. He got lucky on the flop with A 4 4 and I only caught one 5 which was at the river.

Second game/last game had 2 more ppl who entered. $30 pot. 20 min already Peter has about 14000-17000 in chips. Taking out one guy and leaving me short-stacked with 1800 after a bad beat from Peter. From then on I just folded to analyze his game. Man betted bottom pairs like they were pocket aces. DANGEROUS MOVE but one I still had respect for. Making people fold the better hands. He did his job by taking control early and using his aggressive style of play to put fear amongst us. Folded 6 hands till I catch his pattern. I'm seeing ppl just giving away their money (calling or raising his big bet by not even 50%). 2000 was Peter's bet and the girl's raise was only 150 more.

"OKAYYYYYY........THEN! why don't you also tell him you want FRIES with that order of SHIT YOU GOT."

Of course Peter is chip leader like 3 to 1 against her so his move was raised 3000 more. And this girl who took 30 secs to think it over folded to his bluff. Peter was happy and even showed his bluff 4 7 os with a flop of K J 9. I was right. And now I wasn't going to be putting up with this shit. HIS SHIT any longer.

****You see whatever these n00bs say and ppl who think they know how to play hold 'em. The cards don't matter most of the time. In this game you are playing the person and the girl just got outplayed. Just wanna say that to these ppl who think pocket aces are invincible. Having AA once and taking two people out with them doesn't mean your wicked now.****

Had 7 10 os on the button. Blinds 100-200 with 3 ppl and me still in. I just called and Peter who was to the left of me just called too. Mike checked. Flop with 6 9 J. Peter in first position bets out 500. Mike folds. Theresa friend (Girl) calls. I went all in with about 1700 after 500 call. Peter called. The girl folded. Peter had A 9 vs. my 7 10. Turn is 2. River is 8.

I caught it. They said I was lucky. And yeah I know that was luck but a part of it. I knew what I was doing it was educated, I knew my outs and how many I had, plus the pot was more than my short stack with 2800 already. It was worth it.

After a couple hands I became chip leader and then I took out Peter who lost 3 more times to Mike who he folded twice too at the river. and to the girl who went all-in with 3150 and she doubled up. Took him out when I caught AhKh and call his all-in of 4100. At the end I had two pair of Ks and 2s vs. his pair of 2s and Ace high.

Mike took out the girl with 3c Kc vs. her AQ os. Mike flopped a flush. Hehehe Mike and I head's up. It's been a long time since I faced him in such a serious vibe. I asked for a split pot. He said nah let's see. We played two hands and everyone was leaving soon anyways. We counted our blue chips (500 each). We both matched with 24 each but I had more 100s and 25s. He decided to take my offer and we both got $15 for an hour's work. Which was only a $5 profit. I had nothing to prove after we took out everyone else. We both knew we were good. Remember piranhas don't eat each other! They just eat the other fish. LOL.

****ONE MORE THING I have to say. People who say they know who to play poker but don't know how to deal properly (ex. burning 2 cards then putting the flop) just don't talk to me. I swear it would be the same if someone said they knew how to play BASKETBALL and didn't know how to DRIBBLE for goodness sakes. It just seems that now ppl are treating this game as casual as BIG 2 or ASSHOLE like it's a fad. I have to avoid these fuckers seriously.

Sorry just one more time..........BURNIN' 2 cards then putting the FLOP?!?!?!? and you say you've been playing for awhile? and watch it all the time on TV? That's just so fucking shitastic.

Lonely and Horny for Tea....and FRIENDS

i'm pretty bored, hot and sweaty. only means one thing in this situation.....I need a girlfriend, or a girl who friend with benefits. Benefits like if she works at I dunno....a Bubble Tea shop and hooks me up with a Banana Ice Crush with Tapioca for free. Or at least discounted by making tapioca free LOL. I dunno it's just a wonderful idea/daydream. Then after maybe another benefit could be another Bubble Tea?
LOL you thought I meant sex didn't you? That was gonna be my third benefit. After being hooked up with 2 bubble teas then maybe the horizontal polka. Unless......maybe a 3rd one being a Watermelon Ice Crush hold the Tapioca lmao. don't mind me I'm just lonely and sad. really no joke.......(STOP LAUGHING!)

Okay I'll stop with the lies I'm not sad. I'm just lonely that's all. haha
"I'll be your friend." (some guy says NO!) "awwwwwww your mean." (NO!) lmao.

Arjay your the funniest!

With love,
Arjay

Now that's sad...... (but doesn't matter cause no one check out this piece of shit blog anyways. right people?)

Hey man,

Yea I'm not sure if u got my msn message the other day. We're all
good. The attacks were northwest of us. It was definately weird
being in a place where world news was relevant. We rode the tube
the following day. It was empty, and people were quieter than
usual. You can tell they were still shaken from the previous day's
events. The P.A. system on the tube kept going off about not
leaving packages behind. Its pretty eerie.

On the positive side, London is beautiful, and it's people are
pleasant. Downtown is ridiculous though. Its so busy, and you kept
help but feel rushed. In Toronto you can at least take a breather
down an alley or a side street, here its rammed every where.

The girls are fairly hot too. I think its the accents that get us
haha. Andy, my roomie got taken home last night then ran away from
the girl once he found out what he was about to do haha. He said he
got freaked out and didn't want to mess up what he had at home.

Went to a rave too... it was messed up walking outside the club when
the light was out. The place was at a sketchy place in London too.
Brixton or something. Pure Trance, and pure drug dealers on the
street whispering, ''skunk'' which as the same as saying cheeb.

HENDRIX!!!!!

Yeah I got your MSN message and talk to Joe and Hanna told him you were okay. They put a little bit more security just yesterday on the subways here on the TTC but now it's normal here. In the U.S. they put more cops with sniffing dogs on subways in New York, Chicago, L.A. because the terror is on RED (high) alert there. Wow I can't imagine how it feels there and now the people are probably experiencing fear, anxiety and stress everytime they use the underground. Really traumatic.

Anyways, I know you having fun in Europe but still wished you could of chilled with us. On Friday night met up with Joe at Red Hot Poker Tour at the Loose Moose near Union Station got out on the 6th hand but Joe was leader at his table early. He got moved thru 2 tables before getting short stacked and eliminated at the start of the 2nd hour of playing. Still his best finish at Red Hot which tells you that the people there are really good players.

Yesterday went to Harbourfront Centre for the Beats, Breaks and Culture festival with Joe and Irwin and Irwin's friends. It was my first time seeing a real B-Boy competition hahahah I loved it. Joe and Irwin weren't so impressed I guess because the crews they were there are all n00bs to the crews haha. Later on around 8pm we caught this group called "Out Hud". They have the sound of Way Out West or Frou Frou. Really impressed Lisa and I since we listen to that kinda music. Final group we saw was the reason why Joe wanted to go. It was "Quantic Soul Orchestra" making their North American/Canadian debut and it was for free too hahaha. Makes me feel special when I hear that LOL. They took the CIBC stage and rocked it. So awesome. Now I hope Broken Social Scene decides to do a free concert again there. heheh.

Thanks for the e-mail and telling me "Chapter One" of your adventures in your crazy Euro Trip. May you have a fucking great time and know you might not have the same experience again. Be safe, be happy and be yourself.....with the ladies LOL. Live Life! Peace out!

downtownin'

yeah yeah. back from a 5 hour sleep lol. got my atlanta cap, 2 pairs of earrings, went to red hot poker tour, celebrate toronto festival and the biggest thing ever...........remember this date July 8th, 2005. time 10:16pm - Phi talks to a girl. He actually had a 15 minute conversation with Joe's friend Yuko. Phi has attained semi-PIMP status LOL.

talkin to Joe on MSN LOL......Italian festival going on. Lots of Hot Italian girls are gonna be there. Woooooooooweeeeeeeee!

Man I wished I had the camera to capture that moment with Phi and Yuko. LISA told Phi when they dropped him off that they will give Yuko his number and he laughed with his trademark, "heheheh". LOL that wasn't a NO. meanin he wants Hook-ups!

it's hard to say goodbye to yesterday...

Yesterday I woke up in a depressed state. it was 6:28am and my eyes were fully open and thought to myself that today was day of the funeral of my old friend, Mark Escourse. Got up to get a drink of water and checked the map I made the night before for directions to get to the church in richmond hill. I still couldn't believe that he was gone and was not sure about the exact details of the cause of death. Only know that he died of electrocution. I felt empty and lost and soon I was about to face the truth. Soon enough it's 7:30am and my clock alarm goes off upstairs. I just couldn't go back to sleep and caught myself reminiscing for a whole hour. Then that's the phone rang and it was Ian. He asked to meet up for breakfast and talk before we left for the funeral. Half an hour later we went to McDonalds and just talked about whatever shit we needed to get outta of chests. Bullshitting more than usual and it helped. Either one of us wanted to see our other friends from elementary under this scenario you know. After breakfast we met up with Phi and Mike and left for the mass. So many people were there already and felt a little weird because probably no one would recognize us since Ian, Mike and Phi haven't seen Mark since elementary and I haven't seen him since grade 11.

The whole funeral was very hard on all of us. Hard to see his whole family and relatives and his friends crying out silently. At that point I wished I had got to see him one more time because looking in the church you can see how many lives he's touched and affected with his passing.

At the burial grounds I was having a conversation with Mark telling him all the stuff I remembered we used to do when we were kids. Told him how I appreciated him for being there at certain times I remembered when he showed his sensitive/caring side that wasn't seen to most people in elementary. The Mark I knew mostly was the strong/outspoken individual who was very bright and creative and loved to joke around whenever he could. I always felt that him and I were close friends and what I could tell seeing all the people is that he was an amazing and good person.

I brought my digital camera to the funeral for a picture of the classmates from st.florence who showed up to the funeral. Only Stacey and Chris showed up but when we were about to leave it didn't feel right. We said our goodbyes to Stacey and Chris and told them hopefully we can all chill soon enough to have a reunion. Upon on departure we decided to go to Mike's work and visit because he was gonna have a meeting with one of our old elementary classmates, Nicole. We went and she didn't end up showing so we all talked and joked around for an hour or so. We all found relief, realizing life is short, can't be taken for granted. For us four, (Ian, Phi, Mike and I) happen to friends still since gr.2 - gr.4 which I think is pretty amazing. With that enthusiasm I felt that it was a good time to capture this moment.

Big Thank You to Mike's co-worker who took the pix. I'm loving it.

(Mike, Ian, Phi Anh, and I) - July 4th, 2005.

LOL. Look at Phi, he thinks he's "Young and Dangerous". what a pimp! (Ian doesn't like this pic cause you can see his boxers hahaha.) He's lying they are probably briefs.....FAG! Just admit you love wearing speedos why don't you!

Right now, at this very moment I find closure and I know that my old friend is in a better place.

Song: "Beautiful Things" by Andain (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)

Still loving being caught up in all the TRANCEndental bliss.

Came home around 2-3am from sauga last night. I chilled with Rose and met her friends. They were jokes especially her friends Glenn and Lillian. I really needed to laugh and bullshit yesterday and I thank them for such a great time. And now at this part I'm smiling my ass off because I had one of those "moments" with a girl on the subway LOL :P.

So I see this lovely italian/european brunette. Looked classy like an art student or musician type of look about her. She was sitting facing towards me in a 12 seat distance. She catches me staring back at her hehehe. Yeah the "hehehe" is gay but whatever I'm loving it. So anyway there's ppl now sitting in front of me blocking my view so I stop looking her way. 3-4 stops later the people get off and I look for the brunette and she's gone too. I look towards the left at my window seat and she's right next to me walking away. But gives a late look before she's outta my sight. The train now moves the westbound and I catch her again with a blushing smile on her face. I checked my reflection if I had something on my face and I didn't so yeah.....that "moment" was allllllllrighttttttt hahahah.

I finally met another vietnamese person other than Phi Anh LOL. It was a girl, one of Rose's friends named Anhthu. To be honest I saw her profile before I met this girl in person. I was interested because the spelling of her name because it's a part of Phi's name and Phi sister's name (Thu Ha). Hehehe Phi Anh this is Anhthu and Anhthu this is Thu Ha. That's DOPE. LOL. Of course I didn't tell Rose this because I would probably seen as so gay and crazy. But I told Phi and he was amused. OK I'm done my pointless crap.
