It's been a trip and a half (and then some......)
Crazy storm yesterday right before I left for downtown to meet up with my friend Grenville. Going into Red Hot Poker Tour this time I didn't feel enthusiastic when I used to go in the summer. It was different that's for sure. New people there were nice people (shook hands, introduced themselves.) Old people I recognized seemed to turn into assholes (egos too high for their own good.) Then I asked a question to myself after observing these people, "Is poker their only outlet to a social life?" I guess that what it used to be for me. I'm like that anymore.....my passion for the game has come and gone. The "break" is over......it is definitely a break-up for sure for poker and I. Hahahaha I realized this right before the game started. I tried to keep myself interested. The days of observing and trying to read people's reactions are now people who do not posess playing cards in their hand. It will never be the same because I have evolved.
I went all-in on my pocket 6s vs. Ace Jack (off suited) before the flop. Flop was [Jack Jack 3] and I didn't hit anything to improve on the Turn and the River. I was the first one to get eliminated (hahahah how sad eh?) To be honest I wanted to get out on a hand like that. I went out knowing I had the best hand at that moment (pre-flop). Not much you can do about that.
I wished my friend Gren, "Good luck" and parted from the love I used to call Hold 'Em Poker.
To my darling Poker.....
You caught my eye and I became intrigued by the complexity of you. You made me smile, you made me laugh, you made me happy. It was great but that was temporary because it became a rollercoaster with you. I found someone else who stimulates my brain even more. What can I say I grew up and moved on. This probably doesn't mean anything to you since you always have the attention of other guys who always have you on their minds. But just wanted to tell you, "Thanks for the memories it's been a trip and a half."
Take care

Anyways I lefted on my own from Elephant & Castle on King and Simcoe and walked to Yonge and Gerrard (to 401games LOL). Walking downtown as a loner and the cold air blowing in my face gave me peace and I became happy. For what reason? Well that's something I do not wish to tell yet or probably ever. Just between God and I and life. Heheh :)
