gotta get up to get DOWN...
This Friday the 13th was a long ass day. Had my "mass media" class (gen ed credit) at 8am. which was just a waste if time. my only class scheduled for the day supposed to be two hours but only lasted half an hour. it's like I went to school for nothing bah!. met up with my boy mark who hooked me up with QNM106 and BUS106 books. Finally, I don't have stress about these books no more.
Got home around 11:30am and did shit all till 5pm. Left for downtown to meet up with Drix and Joe. Went VS. card shopping and walked around Yonge till we hit Yummy BARBQ near Yonge and Wellesley. It was so good.....I'm so going back for that fo sho. By the time we had dinner it was 9pm. My sister Liza had her party scheduled @ Down One Lounge for 10pm. We went on a mission to pre-juice at Flatiron & Firkin Pub across from Down One. 3 pitchers = about 4 pints each, good laughs of old memories and funny stories. Hanna (Drix's older sister) calling Joe and asking us where are we. She was told we were coming soon like in 10 mins. Bahahah we took our sweet time instead with our 3rd pitcher of carlsberg. Mission accomplished. BUZZED. HAPPY. READY TO EXPLORE.
(1 min later on the across the street from Firkin...) we arrived at Down One. My first time there. Lounge was smaller than what I imagined but my sister reserved a safe area to chill at and met old friends. It was good to see how her friends grown from remembering them from elementary and then them now. It was surreal. I introduced myself to everyone who came out for my sister's b-day. Wanting everyone just to be relaxed and comfortable. I understand how it feels to go to a party not knowing at least one more person other than the one they came with. So 3 jobs I had for the night and they were: Take care of my drunk ass sister (who drank way more than me), socialize with everyone (again I'm not a BOO radley haha), and meanwhile still drink enough to be fucked up myself hehe.
Let's see...time to test my memory of who was there (not counting my sister and I).
Joe, Drix, Hanna, Aaron (Hanna's bf), Donna (Hanna's friend), Tim, Andrew F., Andrew H., Kelly, Jhiffee, Chris L., Nick, Gordon, Aia, Catherine, Jenny (Cathy's friend), Katrina, Eddie, Priscilla, Glen, Paul, Kim (Paul's gf), and Cida. Yeah that sounds right LOL. (I know someone will ask about who was there when they read my blog, so yeah there you go.)
Around 1:30am I did two tequila shots to finish up. (My alcohol stats were at this point: about 4 pints of carlsberg, carona, rum and coke, and the 2 tequila shots.) So lovely LOL. Soon enough Cathy asked, "Who's wallet is this?" and stupid me it was mine. Almost lost my $60 dollars....NO!!!! LOL. Cathy and her friend Jenny had the munchies and were going to Pizza Pizza so I invited myself along for the walk. We found out Pizza Pizza was only a min away but took us 15 mins to get there. Here's a lesson for you folks. "Don't ask a drunk person for directions." Anyways we got a large pizza and ate there. Heheh they were trying to carry a conversation. I could tell they were still shy with me. Avoiding eye contact, but looking at the other girl while answering my questions. I thought it was cute LOL. Yeah I did invite myself so I didn't expect to just be relaxed with me. I'm glad though I got to at least get to know them a little more. I had a lot fun.
Done at 2:30pm and headed back to Down One. Everyone was looking for us LOL so I blamed Jenny for our disappearence. She took the joke and went along with it, while Cathy and I laughed. T'was an inside joke moment (YES!) We all left shortly after that. Back to Scarborough. Back to my area for a blaze session, but I was too tired to blaze with them. Saying my goodbyes, I left them to retreat to my warm and cozy bed.
Got home around 4am and tried to blog last night but fell asleep during the first paragraph. So I was up for 23 hours approximately. FUCK YEAH!!! Reality is back and it's gonna be a bitch for sure. At least I know I didn't waste a good night but it was costly LOL. Still a day well spent, because I made it so. I am a strong believer of the saying, "Life is what you make it." I like how one of my college teachers put it. "Life is 10% of what happens to me. The other 90% is how I react to it." I can honestly say I reacted greatly to what happened to me last night. :)
Partying will be on hold. I have to back into SERIOUS mode. Maybe a VS. session or two this month. Yang's field trip in the works for this month too hopefully. I'm out. Down One pix coming soon. :Peace. -Fin- w/ old school style ending with lyrics from the song I'm feeling at the moment. (Yep it's coming back...and with a vengenance!)

Do you like what you're lookin at?
If you do, what you waitin on
Let's have a conversation
I'll find a corner over there
Lights down, perfect atmosphere
I'll make you want me, right now, gimme a chance."
